Lights and Sweets ✯

The Festival of Lights is here!

It’s Diwali!

This is my favourite festival celebrated in India. The atmosphere has a feeling of magic and it seems as if anything is possible.

Unfortunately, along with the lights, comes the sounds and smoke of the firecrackers bursted. The last 3 days out of the total 5 create huge amounts of pollution, but I can’t deny that the sky looks magnificent at night.

Pantis (Pantya)
The amount of sweets, laddo, chivda, chakalis; the collective faral consumed is ridiculous.

Lakshmi Poojan is the third day of Diwali.

Akashkandils, i.e., lanterns, Panti, i.e. Diyasand rangoli decorate the house and the surroundings.
